Saying No is Sometimes Best Way to Say Yes to Self

SAYING “NO” IS SOMETIMES THE BEST WAY TO SAY “YES” TO SELF

Experience can be a person’s greatest teacher. I know in my case my momma would say to me, “There is the right way and then there is Dorothy’s way.” I realized from a young age, I could only learn by experiencing and feeling the natural consequences of my actions. I was brought up in a volatile home environment.  I did not know how to say NO to the bad.  Maybe that is why my mom called it “Dorothy’s way”. The actions I chose in my younger days created outcomes that were not always in my favor. At times it caused me great pain.  I am here to tell you that I have learned a lot about saying NO to the bad in my life, and I am still learning to say YES to me! Saying yes to the BAD in our lives is an internal boundary issue. Below are four fundamental areas you might be experiencing emotional, or obvious consequences in your life.

You might have an internal boundaries problem if …. YOU FEEL LIKE YOU LOVE chocolate more than people.

You might have an internal boundaries problem if … YOU FEEL LIKE YOUR DREAMS have been snatched away

You might have an internal boundaries problem if … YOU FEEL LIKE YOU ARE A SLAVE to debt.

You might have an internal boundaries problem if … YOU FEEL LIKE YOU CANNOT stop talking, interrupt others, gossip, use threatening language or flatter others.

If any of this resonates with you, I want you to know that you are not alone. I stand with you.
